Il laboratorio ha incentrato il percorso progettuale sul tema della residenza in una stretta connessione con il rapido mutamento della citt\u00e0: tutti i gruppi di lavoro si sono misurati con l\u2019ideazione di diverse tipologie abitative in relazione con un contesto urbano chiamato a rispondere alle esigenze di una societ\u00e0 in trasformazione. A questo fine il lavoro di laboratorio si \u00e8 appoggiato su una bibliografia che ha invitato gli studenti a interrogarsi sul significato dell\u2019abitare in relazione ai fenomeni pi\u00f9 attuali, e in particolare al superamento del progetto di societ\u00e0 del Moderno sotto la spinta di migrazioni epocali e delle istanze etiche che queste reclamano.
\nL\u2019area di progetto \u00e8 quella dell\u2019ex mercato del pesce in via Sammartini, limitrofa alla ferrovia: un\u2019area che si prestava a confrontarsi con la complessit\u00e0 che contraddistingue l\u2019abitare contemporaneo. La presenza di diverse popolazioni che gravitano intorno alla stazione – dai residenti storici di quella che \u00e8 sempre stata una periferia pur in un\u2019area centrale della citt\u00e0, ai migranti che trovano ora rifugio in un dormitorio Caritas nei Magazzini Raccordati, agli anziani di un centro diurno, agli ospiti di un centro SPRAR, oltre che agli studenti fuori sede che sempre pi\u00f9 numerosi cercano un alloggio in un\u2019area che si inserisce fra Citt\u00e0 Studi e la Bicocca \u2013 ha sollecitato gli studenti a sviluppare proposte innovative, coniugando esigenze abitative anche temporanee con il progetto di spazi culturali e di aggregazione aperti alla citt\u00e0.<\/p>\n

The workshop has focused the design process on the theme of residence in a close connection with the rapid change of the city: all the working groups have been measured with the design of different types of housing in relation to an urban context called to respond to the needs of a rapidly changing society. To this end, the workshop was supported by a bibliography that invited students to question the meaning of inhabiting in relation to the most current phenomena, and in particular to the overcoming of the Modern society\u2019s project under the influence of epochal migrations and of the ethical demands that these claim.
\nThe project area is the former fish market in via Sammartini, adjacent to the railway: an area that lent itself to dealing with the complexity that distinguishes contemporary living. The presence of different populations that gravitate around the station – from the historical residents of what has always been a suburb although in a central area of the city, to migrants who now find refuge in a Caritas dormitory in the \u2018Magazzini Raccordati\u2019, to the elderly of a diurnal center, to the guests of a SPRAR center, as well as to off-site students who are increasingly looking for accommodation in an area that fits between Citt\u00e0 Studi and Bicocca – has urged students to develop innovative proposals, combining even temporary housing needs with the project of cultural and aggregation spaces open to the city.<\/p>\n
